Age requirement
You may use Dark Inks only if you are at least 18 years old and legally an adult where you live. If local law sets a higher minimum age, that age applies. By using the site or app, you confirm you meet this requirement.
Fiction and content
Dark Inks is dark-fantasy fiction for adults. Stories may contain sexually explicit material, extreme violence, blood, mutilation, death, and disturbing imagery. The material is fictional; it is not advice, instruction, or an endorsement of real-world harm.
Content may change over time. A warning cannot describe every passage. Stop reading or using the app if its content is not right for you.
Rights and use
The Dark Inks name, website design, original artwork, and app software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Story text, music, and other works belong to their respective rights holders and may have separate terms.
You may use the site and app for personal, lawful purposes. Unless the relevant rights holder gives permission or the law allows it, do not copy, publish, sell, distribute, adapt, or make derivative works from the site, app, artwork, or story content. Do not interfere with the service, attempt unauthorised access, or use it to break the law.
Third-party services
The app may use Apple’s App Store and private iCloud CloudKit services for installation and save syncing. Its story catalogue is retrieved from GitHub, and story packages use HTTPS addresses listed in that catalogue. These services are operated by their respective providers and are subject to their own terms and policies.
You are responsible for your device, internet access, and any Apple Account or iCloud settings needed for these services.
Availability and changes
Dark Inks, individual stories, and this website may change, pause, or become unavailable. We may update these terms when the service or applicable requirements change. The date above shows when this page was last revised.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the site and app are provided as available, without a promise that they will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing here excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
Where the law permits, Dark Inks is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site or app. This does not limit liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
